Welcome to the SMSW'14-Statistics and Mathematical Sciences Workshop 2014, held at the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal, July 7, 2014.
We celebrate this meeting in honour of Professor João Tiago Mexia (http://www.dm.fct.unl.pt/pessoas/docentes/joao-tiago-praca-nunes-mexia).
SMSW'14 aims to bring together researchers in statistics and other topics of mathematics . The workshop will provide an opportunity to learn about the latest statistical and mathematical methodologies. Another goal of the workshop is to strengthen relationships in the statistical and mathematical community and researchers who apply statistics and mathematics in other fields.
SMSW'14 will offer Plenary and Organized Sessions.
